Innovative Technologies

The Cheney Care Center has partnered with Accelerated Care Plus (ACP) to bring you the latest in therapy technology. These innovative technologies are built for maximum safety and treatment efficacy so our patients can feel better, faster. Learn about what ACP has to offer in our facililty below.

OmniVR®

A virtual reality therapy system, the OmniVR® enables functional rehabilitation for aging adults and others with physical limitations. This easy-to-use system incorporates an advanced 3D camera and specialized computer to capture your patient’s movements and allows them to interact in a virtual world. OmniVR® helps to address patient’s cognitive impairment by incorporating activities that utilize memory and executive function. Virtual reality helps make therapy more fun and engaging for your patients and motivates them to exercise harder and longer while improving their functional outcomes.

OmniCycle®

One of the most advanced therapeutic exercise systems, the OmniCycle® assists patients who struggle to participate in therapeutic exercise due to strength, pain, coordination, neurological, orthopedic, or cardiopulmonary challenges. Its innovative motor-assist technology provides upper and lower extremity biofeedback-driven exercises. The OmniCycle® automatically senses patient participation and adjusts support as patient ability changes.

OmniVersa®

The OmniVersa® Multi-Modality Therapy System combines electrotherapy and ultrasound and includes integrated, evidence based clinical protocols and offers ultrasound and a variety of electrical stimulation waveforms to effectively address acute, subacute, and chronic pain presentations for superior pain reduction.

OmniSWD®

The OmniSWD® Shortwave Diathermy System provides electromagnetic energy for healing and heating effects in the body. The thermal setting improves treatment efficiency by 25%. With ACP’s integrated, evidence-based clinical protocols, on-screen tuning, and a high efficiency output, the OmniSWD saves therapists valuable time to focus on what matters most – achieving the best outcomes for their patients. The OmniSWD helps to increase local blood flow, reduce pain and inflammation, decrease joint stiffness, and relieve muscle spasms. Applied to the patient through a large applicator head, OmniSWD may be used to assist in the treatment of soft tissue injuries and conditions, slow-healing wounds, and arthritis.

Synchrony Dysphasia Solutions®

The Synchrony Dysphagia Solutions by ACP integrates surface electromyography (sEMG) and patterned electrical stimulation (PENS) into a treatment combination that promotes improved swallow mechanics, normalized muscle function and tone, increased muscle strength and coordination, pain reduction, and a better quality of life.
